Make Life | HD is a program that helps HD communities make life-giving stuff for each other. These creations could include songs like the one I composed for my mom or almost anything: a poem, a dramatic monologue, a quilt, a filled-in coloring book page, a hat or other piece of clothing, a dance, a piñata, a mug, a short film, a lolcat, a rap – anything that artistically connects to and encourages someone.
The process needs people to fill three roles
Receiver - A person who needs the gift of a little life because of HD
Maker - Someone who can make something that will bring a smile, a moment of contentment, a sign of understanding to the Receiver
Facilitator - A person who helps the Receiver and Maker complete the life-giving process. You only need someone to do this if the process stalls.
The cycle consists of six flexible steps
Explore – Identify and describe possible participants
Connect – Makers and Receivers meet
Learn – Makers and Receivers get to know each others' arts and hearts
Make – The Maker creates something that might meet the Receiver's need
Bless – The Maker presents his or her creation to the Receiver
